RV Glass Directory content is written from installer practice and reviewed by working RV glass technicians. Pricing bands are drawn from quotes issued by shops in our network, technical procedures are checked against urethane manufacturer specifications, and insurance guidance is checked against current carrier policy language. Advertising never influences editorial content.
Where our pricing comes from
Cost ranges are built from quotes our network shops actually issue for that job in that region, not from national averages scraped off other websites. They are ranges on purpose: a Class A two-piece windshield in a remote market with freight and a two-technician set does not cost what a Class C laminated screen costs in a metro area with local stock.
Ranges are shown before tax and typically exclude specialty trim, gasket replacement, and ADAS-adjacent recalibration where a chassis carries it. Any page quoting a price says what the range does and does not include.
Technical review
Procedures, cure times and glass-type guidance are reviewed against manufacturer documentation and working installation practice before publication. Where practice varies by climate — cold-weather urethane cure being the obvious case — we say so rather than publishing a single number that is wrong half the year.
Advertising and editorial separation
Shops pay for listings and quote routing. No shop can buy a change to a pricing band, a repair-vs-replace recommendation, an insurance explanation, or a comparison verdict. Commercial relationships are disclosed on the About page rather than buried.
Dating, updates and corrections
Pages carry a review date. When a carrier changes a glass deductible rule, a manufacturer changes a part, or market pricing moves, we update the page and move the date. If we get something wrong, we correct it on the page rather than quietly deleting it.
